SINGING WITH LOVE :

Bruce Johnston ...   established himself as an accomplished writer, producer and singer long before joining The Beach Boys. Together with Terry Melcher,  he produced groups including the  "Rip Chords",  who had several hits including the hot rod classic, "Hey, Little Cobra".

Bruce & Terry...   also recorded as a duo and scored their own hit with "Summer Means Fun"  in 1964.
In 1965, when  Glen Campbell  could no longer stand-in for  Brian Wilson  on tour, The Beach Boys called Bruce to ask him to suggest a replacement. No one came to mind, so Bruce volunteered to fill in and toured with the band until 1972.

 In 1977 Bruce was presented a Grammy Award for penning "I Write the Songs"...   which became one of Barry Manilows Greatest Hits.

Two years later, in 1979,  The Beach Boys  asked Bruce to produce the band's  "L.A. Light Album."  Shortly thereafter, Bruce rejoined the band on the road.

Bruce ... Ý continues to record and tour as one of the leading personalities of "The Beach Boys."
